Meredith Allred

Director of Human Resources 

Meredith Allred is a Human Resources professional with over 25 years’ experience, including strategic planning, associate relations, payroll processing, benefits, recruiting, retention, and growth/development. She holds the certification of SHRM-SCP.

Meredith has been with Emerald Transformer for over 10 years and currently serves as the Director of Human Resources, which supports all 9 locations and 300 employees.

Prior to Emerald Transformer, she served as the Human Resource Manager at Professional Products, Inc. in DeFuniak Springs FL. In this role, which she held for 10 years, she provided personnel support for over 150 employees.

Upon graduation from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Meredith began her Human Resources career as a Personnel Officer in the United States Army where she served over six years in Ansbach, Germany; Fort Jackson, South Carolina and New Orleans, Louisiana. She received an Honorable Discharge after achieving the rank of Captain.

She and her husband, Shannon, celebrated their 25th anniversary in November 2022 and are the proud parents of Zack, Madeline, and Natalie.

I would like to thank Emerald for your assistance with the recent equipment recycling effort... We have disposed of three power transformers and thousands of gallons of oil...I also want to express my appreciation for your field service crew. The crew has been on property the last two weeks removing transformers from substations. The work was completed in a safe, timely and professional manner. Your crews have been on property for prior recycling efforts and I am always pleased with their efforts. I look forward to working with you to remove the remainder of the equipment by the end of the year.
