VP of Product Sales and Marketing
Thom Rowe is the Vice President of Product Sales and Marketing for Emerald Transformer. Thom joined Emerald in 2017 and has taken on increasingly important roles including Regional Sales Manager and Interim General Manager of the Los Angeles facility. With 20 years of experience in business development, sales management, and marketing, Thom understands the power of building partnerships with customers around mutually supportive service offerings that address their operational and financial needs.
Thom has worked in financial services and the energy industry during his career. His accomplishments include successful capture of multi-million dollar service contracts with international oil companies, development of national sales teams, creation of external marketing campaigns, and successful implementations of CRMs. An award-winning salesperson and manager, Thom has led teams that have established new market segments for corporations such as Thomson Reuters. Prior to joining Emerald Transformer Thom was with Clean Harbors Transformer Services, a division of Clean Harbors Environmental Waste Management, when the transformer division was acquired by Emerald.
Recently Thom has led Emerald's efforts to create the industry's best sales force in multiple facets. He overhauled the interview process to identify sales candidates more successfully while simultaneously creating a new sales on-boarding program that increased the readiness of new sales personnel and decreased their initial ramp-up time before reaching sales effectiveness. Thom also wrote, designed, and supervised Emerald's marketing efforts including advertisement media, technical white papers, electronic marketing, and Emerald's first company video featuring our repair capabilities.
Thom holds a BA from Wheaton College (IL) as well as masters degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Texas Christian University. He serves on the board of directors for the Maier Foundation in his native West Virginia.
