David Kay, CFA

Chief Financial Officer

David brings nearly two decades of investment and operational leadership experience spanning private equity and executive finance roles to Emerald Transformer. As a hands-on leader, he will oversee Emerald's strategic and operational finance functions, helping position the company for long-term scalability and continued market leadership.

Prior to joining Emerald Transformer, David served as Chief Financial Officer of a leading manufacturer in the building products industry, where he played a key role in driving margin improvement and operational transformation. He also helped guide the company through its successful sale to Builders FirstSource. Earlier in his career, David was a Vice President at Sunrise Equity Investors, a private investment firm, where he gained extensive experience evaluating and supporting lower middle market portfolio companies. That perspective now enables him to partner closely with Emerald's management team, ownership, and board to drive strategic growth.

David has earned the right to use the CFA designation and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in History from Tulane University.

I would like to thank Emerald for your assistance with the recent equipment recycling effort... We have disposed of three power transformers and thousands of gallons of oil...I also want to express my appreciation for your field service crew. The crew has been on property the last two weeks removing transformers from substations. The work was completed in a safe, timely and professional manner. Your crews have been on property for prior recycling efforts and I am always pleased with their efforts. I look forward to working with you to remove the remainder of the equipment by the end of the year.
