Meredith Allred

Chief Human Resources Officer

Meredith Allred is a Human Resources professional with over 30 years’ experience, including strategic planning, associate relations, employee engagement/recruiting, and growth/development. She holds the certification of SHRM-SCP.

Meredith has been with Emerald Transformer for over 13 years and currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer, which supports all locations and employees.

Prior to Emerald Transformer, she served as the Human Resource Manager at Professional Products, Inc. in DeFuniak Springs FL. In this role, which she held for over 10 years, she provided personnel support for over 150 employees.

Upon graduation from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Meredith began her Human Resources career as a Personnel Officer in the United States Army where she served over six years in Ansbach, Germany; Fort Jackson, South Carolina and New Orleans, Louisiana. She received an Honorable Discharge after achieving the rank of Captain.

She and her husband, Shannon, celebrated their 28th anniversary in November 2025 and are the proud parents of Zack, Madeline and Natalie.

Thanks to all of you for what you do, we learned through COVID that we are much more interconnected than we ever dreamed. We need each other more than we want to admit. Keeping the lights on is more than just lineman, substations, and generating plants. It takes all of us and all of you. Congratulations on your awards and an “attaboy” to Emerald for taking the time to do so.
